MCC Book Webinar (8.5 x 11 in)-3

Monday, February 16th

Join us on Monday, February 16, 2026 at 9:00am (PST) | 12:00pm (EST) for a special new book webinar with Valentyn Syniy. In this searing eyewitness account, Valentyn Syniy recounts how the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 upended life for students, teachers, and staff of the Tavriski Christian Institute. As president of TCI, Syniy was responsible for evacuating the seminary community and leading them hundreds of miles to a safer location. Upon arrival, Syniy and his colleagues faced new challenges: where would everyone stay? How long would they live as refugees? How could ministry training continue during wartime? We invite you to join us for this conversation! To receive the zoom link, register below.

MCC Book Webinar (8.5 x 11 in)-3

Th-F, Feb 19-20, 2026

Over the past year, the United States has witnessed sweeping changes to its immigration policy, communities
and families torn apart by mass deportations, and a sharp rise in fear and uncertainty due to new enforcement
tactics. Amid this landscape, voices of prophetic courage on the local, national, and global scenes have provided
signs of hope, insisting on the contributions immigrants make and on a human dignity that crosses borders.

Speakers include scholars and graduate students from a variety of disciplines, policy experts, ecclesial and civic
leaders, as well as representatives from community-based initiatives. Additionally, the conference offers an
advocacy training session and spotlights local, impact-driven opportunities. In this way, the conference aims
to both inform as well as provide participants with opportunities to take action.

This event is free and open to the public. Register below.

Monday, March 23rd

Join us on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 5:00pm (PST) | 8:00pm (EST) for our Spring Book Webinar with Francisco Zamora Avila.

Drawing on Zamora's lived experience and deep connections to the undocumented immigrant community, this book invites readers into deep reflection regarding the enormous need for a new ecclesial model of ministry on the margins. A voice for a voiceless community, Zamora brings both lived experience and a pastoral heart to bear in this unique window into both the stress and trauma and the gifts of undocumented immigrant communities.
What does it mean to shepherd congregants who lack documented status? How might trauma manifest among those who have fled violence or experienced great loss? We invite you to join us for this conversation!

We would love to hear from you!
